Lake View Music Fest

With the legendary Friendly Confines casting its shadow, the 9th annual Lake View Music Fest returns to Wrigleyville for its 9th year on Sheffield Avenue (on the east side of the iconic ballpark!)

Among local tribute acts set to perform are Too White Crew (hip hop), Infinity (classic rock), 7th Heaven (rock/pop) and Modern Day Romeos (party band). Also performing are local indie rockers The Insecurities. There will also be food and arts & crafts vendors.

The LAKE VIEW CITIZENS’ COUNCIL (LVCC) is a non-profit civic organization serving the Lakeview community on the north side of Chicago, Illinois. It’s boundaries (roughly Lake Michigan on the east, the north branch of the Chicago River on the west, Diversey Parkway on the south, going south on Lakewood Avenue until it meets the Chicago River, and Irving Park Road on the north) are approximately those of the original township of Lake View founded in the early 1800′s and annexed by the City of Chicago in 1903.

(CHICAGO, IL) – Casey Moran’s Bar in Wrigleyville will be hosting Da’ Pig Roast Barbecue and Kick-Off Party to celebrate the Bears’ season opener against the Detroit Lions at 10 a.m. on Sunday, September 12th, 2010.

Casey Moran’s will be offering a slew of specials for Bears fans and enthusiasts including $16 (16oz) Miller Light Buckets and $5 Jack Daniels cocktails. For $6, guests will have a chance to dress up (or down) their favorite breakfast cocktail at our coveted Bloody Mary bar with a variety of olives, cheeses, meats, peppers, etc.

A $10 barbecue brunch buffet will be o ered to guests with mouth-watering breakfast and lunch items including roasted pig, roasted chicken, mac ‘n’ cheese, corn bread, potato salad, cole slaw, eggs, bacon, french toast and more! Vegetarian options will also be available.

With a lineage that traces back to mid-1960s Buffalo, NY, chicken wings are traditionally defined by the spicy vinegar cayenne or BBQ sauce they are tossed in and with the side of blue cheese they are dipped in.
